On the Implementation of the Russian President Strategy in the World-class IT-specialists Training

Abstract:

The article describes the details of the Digital Economy program implementation adopted by the Government of the Russian Federation and concerning planned goals in the field of manpower and education. The total numbers of admission for Russian state universities in IT-specialities for 2018 are given, and their significant discrepancy with the planned number of graduates in 2024 is stated. In addition, a description of the current state of the world IT labor market is given and the statistics of the export of software development services from the Russian Federation is shown. In conclusion possible ways of staff quality training used in leading national universities are discussed
