Sergei V. Gusev received the Diploma degree in mathematics in 1974 and the Ph.D. degree in mathematical cybernetics in 1981 from the Leningrad (now St. Petersburg) State University. Since 1974 he has been with the Department of Mathematics and Mecanics of St. Petersburg State University, where he is now an Associate Professor. His research interests include robust control, adaptive control, signal processing, system identification, automotive systems control, and robotics.
